Who we are

Welcome to Grain of Wheat Baking Co. — where every loaf has a purpose and every crumb tells a story of grace.

My name is Jackie, and I started this bakery with a simple passion: to share the goodness of homemade bread and the even greater goodness of God’s Word. Baking has always been more than a hobby for me — it’s a form of worship, a reminder of how something small, when broken and shared, can bring nourishment and joy to others.

The name Grain of Wheat comes from John 12:24

“Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.”

This verse reminds me that growth and life come through surrender — both in faith and in baking. Just as the grain must be ground and transformed to become bread, we too are shaped and renewed by God’s love and purpose.

And in John 6:35, Jesus says,

“I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.”

Every loaf I bake is inspired by this truth. Bread fills the body, but Christ fills the soul. My hope is that through these simple, handcrafted loaves, you not only taste something wholesome and delicious, but also feel reminded of the true Bread of Life who sustains us all.
